Finally watched Oliver Stone’s “The Doors“. What an enormously important film. Although it is probably not a true depiction of Morrison’s life, it gives you a good idea of the kind of person he was.
Poetry is dead, we live in a truly superficial world and I often get the impression, that there are no true emotions anymore. Songs are usually not a result of true feelings anymore but the are perfectly crafted for a specific audience in order to sell records. Well I’m rambling on, why don’t you just go and rent this movie yourselves. You might even want to check out “When You Are Strange” a documentary that came out in 2009, which supposedly shows a much more accurate version of Morrison’s life.
I’ll try to watch it asap and I might leave a comment on here.
